MANASO recently partnered with the Ministry of Health in Malawi to commemorate the 2024 Community Health Day, awarding certificates to 419 Health Surveillance Assistants (HSAs) in Lilongwe on November 26, 2024.

MANASO showcased the USAID-supported Pamodzi Project, which promotes demand for HIV, sexual reproductive health, and rights, and gender-based violence services among adolescents.

The project’s ambassadors from Lilongwe University of Agriculture and Natural Resources (LUANAR) Bunda Campus shared their experiences in creating demand among peers.

Data presented to Deputy Minister of Health Hon. Halima Daudi, MP, revealed increased uptake of general family planning methods among students and youth.

Students use creative methods, such as musical shows, to spread awareness.

The Pamodzi Project is also implemented at Natural Resources College (NRC) campus of LUANAR, University of Malawi (UNIMA), Malawi University of Business and Applied Sciences (MUBAS) and Mulanje Mission College of Nursing and Midwifery (MMCNM).

This collaboration demonstrates MANASO’s commitment to community health and well-being.
