Malawi Network of AIDS Service Organizations (MANASO) in partnership with National AIDS Commission (NAC) and with support from CDC, conducted a 2 day Lenacapavir (LEN) Ambassadors Orientation at the Malawi University of Business and Applied Sciences (MUBAS) in Blantyre from 22nd-23rd August 2026, bringing together student ambassadors, facilitators from the National AIDS Commission (NAC), District Health Office (DHO), MANASO, and representatives from CSO coordinating bodies.
The orientation equipped student ambassadors with knowledge and practical approaches to support demand creation for Lenacapavir, including identifying appropriate platforms for information sharing, linking students to relevant services, peer-to-peer engagement, and institutional mobilisation.
The engagement also provided an opportunity for students and facilitators to interact, share perspectives, and strengthen collaboration in ensuring that accurate information and appropriate services reach young people within institutions of higher learning.
Through the involvement of student ambassadors, MANASO and its partners continue to strengthen youth-led engagement and community mobilization around HIV prevention and the introduction of Lenacapavir.
